Basic Concepts

Mission

All the automatic missions are based on the waypoint flight capabilities provided by DJI or Good Station.

In a waypoint mission, the aircraft will fly to the position and altitude of each waypoint in sequence, execute the actions belong to the waypoint (such as shooting photos, recording video, hovering, adjusting the pitch angle of the gimbal, adjusting the heading, etc.).

After all the waypoints have been reached, the aircraft will execute the finshed action.

The maximum number of waypoints for a mission is 99.

Waypoint

A spatial location defined by coordinates and altitude.

Waypoint Action

The actions will be executed when a waypoint is reached.

Type:

  • Shoot Photo(Single)

  • Start Recording

  • Stop Recording

  • Hover(0~30s)

  • Adjust Aircraft Heading(-180°~180°, 0°:North, 90°:East, 180°:South, -90°:West, -180°:South)

  • Adjust Gimbal Pitch(0°~-90°)

In the curve turn mode, since the aircraft does not actually "reach" the waypoint, the waypoint actions will not be executed in most cases.

Point Of Interest

The position where the aircraft's head is always pointed.

Gimbal Pitch

The pitch angle of the camera to the horizontal plane.

0°:Looking horizontally.

-90°:Looking at the ground.

Hotpoint

The center point of the circular mission.
