Autopilot

Source from DJI: Camera drones after Mavic 2 series no longer natively support waypoint mission.

Autopilot is a self-developed autopilot program based on the virtual joystick function by Good Station. It can completely replace DJI's native capability of waypoint flight. Under ideal conditions, its performance is basically the same as the native function.

Turn on Autopilot

App Settings -> Flight -> Autopilot. Autopilot is on by default.

The Autopilot is only available with models that do not support waypoint mission now.

Supported By DJI and Supported By Good Station

Mavic 2 Series and previous models:Supported By DJI.

Mavic Mini and later models:Supported By Good Station. Models: Mini, Air 2, Mini 2, Mini SE, Air 2S.

  • "Supported By DJI" means that the autonomous flight capability is provided by DJI and executed by the flight controller onboard.

  • "Supported By Good Station" means that the autonomous flight capability is provided by the Good Station and executed by the Autopilot program in App.

  • The Autopilot program of App cannot send control command to drone when connection is lost. The drone will hover until connection is restored. The drone would not continue the mission on signal lost. So it is very important to keep connection stable and good during the flight.

  • The stability of the connection has a great influence on the control accuracy of Autopilot.

  • The environmental wind speed has a great influence on the control accuracy of Autopilot.
